Reading Intervention

Our experience as parents and professional educators has helped us to identify key areas of need for children in our community. We know that children struggle with reading and are challenged to be successful in many of their academic subjects. Our approach to addressing these needs are research and evidence based, personalized, and prescriptive. Our expert educators will work closely with you and your child to evaluate the areas of difficulty and prescribe the best solutions based on their individual needs.

Small Group Sessions

At Coastal Speech and Language we offer small group literacy instruction. This allows our teachers to provide personalized attention, cater to individual student needs, and effectively address specific reading challenges by grouping students based on their reading levels, leading to improved comprehension, fluency, and overall reading skills, while fostering a more engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and participating actively.

Individual Sessions

For more intense instructional support we also offer individual reading instruction. This allows our teachers to tailor teaching to each student's specific needs, strengths, and weaknesses, leading to better comprehension, fluency, and overall reading development by addressing individual learning gaps and fostering a deeper engagement with text, ultimately promoting a love of reading and greater literacy skills across all learners
